* Having just read your story on teaching overseas (TES, January 9), you may be interested to know that I spent the majority of my working life teaching overseas (I am now 50). I returned to the UK in 2000 and became head of a successful girls school. I was previously head of a girls school in the Middle East. Good management skills are relevant whatever the context. I don’t believe that experience gained overseas represents a significant barrier to finding work at the right level back home.
