All teachers will share David Miliband’s enthusiasm for “e-mentoring” which encourages our pupils to communicate during study leave, at weekends, in the evening, while taking a bath, etc (TES, November 12).

I wish to propose a similar scheme for teachers to access the mind of Mr Miliband, and vice versa, on a 247 basis. It could be known as “e-ministering”. This will be useful, since so many Department for Education and Skills initiatives are announced when our backs are turned.

Interested colleagues should try contacting the schools minister at miliband@cloud.cuckooland.con Mike Royston 3 Colletts Gardens Broadway Worcestershire
