* Recently at a Fabian Society meeting Ruth Kelly talked of the “blatant injustice of the 11-plus” saying that “children’s futures were decided on one day... with virtually no chance of movement after this”.
Yet selection still exists and has increased under this Labour Government.
Inevitably it disadvantages the majority of children as few are selected and many rejected.
Can we be assured therefore that if this Government were to be re-elected there would be an end to selection of all kinds?
