Points of view

A self-confessed libertarian, atheist and believer in children's rights says the Exclusive Brethren are dangerous lunatics and should never be allowed to adopt or foster children "No defence for lunatic schools" (TES, June 10).

We should be grateful that he identified his prejudices so clearly, before pondering whether he is able to detach himself from his prejudices sufficiently to be allowed to teach other people's children, not least those of parents who might fail his lunatic test. Clearly, bigotry and intolerance are not the sole preserve of religion.
