FAR from being in “peril” (Friday magazine, April 29), the precious educational heritage of the Dartford Campus is to be protected, now and into the future. The University of Greenwich is negotiating with North West Kent College, which hopes to buy the site. Together we will preserve the historic legacy of Madame Osterberg, who founded a teacher-training college here in 1895. The University of Greenwich will remain as custodian of the Bergman-Osterberg archive. We’re delighted that the campus is to remain in educational use and will work together to broaden opportunities for education in this traditional place of learning.
