* I was very interested to read your article “Card fraudster told he can teach IT skills” (TES, April 11).

However, I must draw your attention to one statement within that report:

“The school knew he had been charged when it employed him.”

This is not true. I was principal of the Trinity Catholic technology college at that time. The charges did not come to light until well into the autumn term.

The person concerned revealed nothing about the impending charges.
