CAN Liz Jones really be so naive as to not understand why even strong, competent teachers fear OFSTED? If so, she has no business doing her job.

It is the sensitivity that makes a good teacher that can also lead to them being fearful of what is a questionable inspection regime.

Of course incompetent teachers need to be weeded ou, but has Ms Jones never questioned why hundreds of competent teachers are also quitting? And as for describing the inspector role as “policing” - perhaps it’s time Ms Jones picked up a truncheon and handcuffs, and applied for a new job!
