The Tory council’s posturing amounts to bullying because school governors, and not county councillors, determine how money is spent and what children are taught about sex in schools. So it resorts instead to intimidating governors and teachers - just as the obnoxious Section 28 sought to do.
And it is homophobic. Schools should not promote sex of any kind among children under 16. So Kent’s obsession with the same-gender variety simply underlines the bigoted prejudice behind it.
