Poor pupils ‘denied’ science chance

A report by the House of Commons Public Accounts Committee says pupils in deprived areas are being “denied” the chance to take GCSE exams in physics, chemistry and biology. It also said progress in recruiting specialist maths and physics teachers “has been slow”.
