Artist David Mach, whose work was featured in the article on “found art” in the June 25 issue of TES Primary, has been commissioned by the New Millennium Experience Company to create A National Portrait of Britain for the Millennium Dome in Greenwich.

Mach is composing a collage 79m long by 3m high showing real images of life in Britain today. At least three quarters of a million photographs need to be sent to him over the next six months to provide him with the material he needs to compose the portrait.

Donated photos, clearly labelled and identified (no posed photos please) should be sent to: Fiona Henderson Yolanda Jeffrey, A National Portrait, NMEC, Gate 1, Drawdock Road, Greenwich, London SE10 0BB. Photos cannot be returned.
