Primary teachers working with pupils who have social, emotional and behavioural difficulties now have a pack to support them. Inclusive Education in Primary Schools has been developed by Barnardo’s with Scottish Executive finance. One-day training courses back up the pack, which was piloted in Fife and launched in Edinburgh on Tuesday by Peter Peacock, Education Minister.

Pamela Munn, dean of education at Edinburgh University, who was involved in developing the pack, described it as “a valuable addition to any teacher’s toolbox”.
