* Why doesn’t the Government suspend earnings restrictions for retired teachers? I wish to return to full-time science teaching but my earnings may not exceed my salary on early retirement. Only temporary or part-time employment is feasible but most posts are full-time and most schools seek saff stability.

I suspect that there are many others who would like to return but are prevented from doing so by the threat of reduced pensions. Surely, it is time to review the rules and tap this source of staff?
