Angus Ogilvie - Hull branch secretary of the National Association of Head Teachers - regards a trip to sunny Tennessee and lectures from international academics as quality management training (“Struggling Hull hopes MBA training can make better leaders”, ES, May 25). MBAs (for heads, paid for partly by the council) are an attractive kind of study, but aren’t they too far removed from the issues in bottom-of-the league Hull?
