* Recently I went to a job interview 40 miles from where I live and it was only when I got home that it struck me that no mention had been made of travelling expenses: is this no longer a practice in schools? Perhaps if it were reinstated, unsuccesful interviewees would at least have the satisfaction of being paid for their waste of time.
