IT APPEARS easier to score a level 6 at key stage 2 in maths or science, than in English.
Could this be because the factual content of maths and science at Level 6, is easier to grasp by a bright child, than the emotionally andor mentally demanding effort needed in English. This surey means that English, at this level, is not so immediately and innately “teachable”.
Should this not be considered and addressed, if only to save the faces of worthy literacy co-ordinators all over the land?
