I RESENT the implication of the Runnymede Trust (TES, October 20) that education is the home of the institutionalised racism. The opposite is true.
Most teachers working in schools with high numbers of ethnic-minority pupils are comitted to both racial and gender equality to the point of distraction. How else can you explain the phenomenal success of girls and Asian pupils in recent years?
