TWELVE-year-old Jamie Webb, confined to a wheelchair after being hit by a motorist was awarded pound;3.5 million damages in the High Court.

He suffered devastating injuries in August 1995 after being knocked down by Richad Darbon in Bedfont, west London, who was driving above the 30mph speed limit. Darbon had been warned six timesby residents to cut his speed and streets on the estate were covered with “Kill your speed” signs.
