The first course, which began this month, involves 80 hours at St John's and another 80 in participants' own schools and includes: planning the D T curriculum for the school; communicating through drawing; developing making skills; and recording children's work - evaluation and progression. A course in design and technology for key stage 1 and 2 teachers and classroom assistants has been established at St John's College School, a Cambridge prep school. Developed by Jerwood Curriculum Award winner and former lecturer David Jinks, it is accredited by Homerton College, Cambridge as a component of an advanced diploma in educational and professional studies.
