CHURCH leaders praised the decision of the parents of Britain's first millennium baby to turn down publicity deals potentially worth pound;1 million for the sake of their daughter's privacy. Alison Webb, 8, who gave birth at 15 seconds past midnight on January 1 at Birmingham Women's Hospital and her partner Mark Heafield turned down a pound;100,000 newspaper contract and sponsorship spin-offs.
