Primaries fail to develop pupils’ skills

Too few primary schools plan a skills-based curriculum to develop pupils’ thinking, communication, ICT and number skills, according to a report. Estyn said many schools do not understand how to use the non-statutory skills framework, and many teachers lack awareness of their pupils’ prior achievements.
