Primary classes to be cut to 25

https://www.tes.com/magazine/archive/primary-classes-be-cut-25
The union is looking for primary classes to be cut to 25 and wants primary 1 classes to be lower than the maximum. Composite classes should be lower than the present 25 and in line with any fall in primary. The ratio of qualified teachers to pupils in nurseries should be 1:10 and there should be one teacher and nursery assistant for every 20 pupils.

In secondaries, the union wants classes from third to sixth year cut from a maximum of 30 to 20 and practical classes redefined and cut from 20 to 15.
