The Prince of Wales opened a centre to promote new thinking in food production on his Duchy of Cornwall estate last week, writes Joseph Lee. Prince Charles discussed the future of local produce at the new agri-food innovation centre in Duchy College, part of Cornwall College. The centre will support local producers with technical expertise and marketing tips and help business management and technology students network with Cornish famers. Andrew Counsell (left), principal of Duchy College, said: “We had people here from funding organisations, industry and education. The message was that what we do is right and there is a huge prize to gain for the Cornish economy. We can be a catalyst, bringing everyone together, and that is what we did today.” Photograph Simon Burt
