Cornwall College governors have appointed Dave Linnell as principal and chief executive. Mr Linnell, formerly the deputy principal, succeeds John Latham, who left last month to join Laureate Education. Mr Linnell was awarded an OBE in 2006 for services to education. He is a former principal of John Leggott Sixth Form College in Scunthorpe.
