THE National Educational Research Forum is appealing for responses to its consultation on priority issues in education which ends on Friday, June 28. The forum, whose members include Carol Adams, chief executive of the General Teaching Council, and David Hargreaves, part-time adviser to Education Secretary Estelle Morris, has identified five topics: innovation in education; promoting good behaviour; requirements and characteristics of the future teaching profession; the impact of school building and design on learning; and models of financing public education. Results will be used by the education priorities group to consider research and development implications.
