A prize for good citizenship

https://www.tes.com/magazine/archive/prize-good-citizenship
Working with Community Service Volunteers, schools have organised some highly impressive projects in citizenship. CSV is now offering a digital camera as a prize for the group of 12 to 18-year-olds who produce the best web page describing their own undertaking. CSV’s own website has a user-friendly database of organisations willing to work with schools. There are also some first-rate precedents for those seeking ideas: drama on sectarianism or bullying, mock trials and mock elections, land reclamation schemes and health days for the community. The prizes will go to those who combine clarity of presentation with valuable content. For details of the competition visit www.csvcommunitypartners.org.uk The closing date for entries is February 28.
