Firstly, how can GTCS claim that this is based upon a “valid sample”? It clearly is not. The response rate is so low as to make it meaningless. Secondly, I wasn’t invited to take part in the survey even though I was a probationer in 2009-10 and my contact details are with GTCS. This “story” is being reported in the media as “jobs prospects improving for new teachers”. Not for me.
