The head of a school with much-envied ICT policies wanted to check the commitment of his staff. “We’re aware that ICT is not essential to good education”, he told them, “so next term we’ll dispense with it in an attempt to stave off a financial crisis.” He learnt a salutary lesson when not one of his staff put up a counter argument. That disturbing anecdote was delivered by Professor Tim Brighouse in a series of seminars on leadership in ICT presented by RM across the UK. However the message from the “tsar” (ouch!) of London schools was far from negative. Read his presentation slides at: www.rm.comseminars
