For-profit schools raise performance

Schools must be allowed to operate for-profit if the Government’s education reforms are to work successfully, according to research. The competition that led to improvements in Sweden - whose free schools inspired the plans here - was created by allowing for-profit schools to open, said the Institute of Economic Affairs.
