A hundred gifted inner-city pupils will have the chance to enter a four-year “urban scholars programme” thanks to a pound;200,000 donation from The Moody’s Foundation. The programme, run by Brunel university, began in 1998 as a Saturday school to transform the educational aspirations of 12 to 16-year-olds. The 80 students on the programme will be joined by 50 “Moody’s Foundation Scholars” this summer.
