Performance-related pay for all teachers is a key part of the Government remit to the review body.

Second only to deciding whether pay and allowances should increase - and if so, how much - ministers have told the review body to investigate PRP further.

Ministers have also asked the review body to investigate if changes should be made to the pay and conditions document, particularly in relation to deputy head posts, experience points and acting allowances. But ministers have also told the review body it must consider costs, recruitment and retention, the low level of vacancies and effective use of resources.
