Alan McLean, the noted educational psychologist and even more renowned contributor to these columns, is a bit of a pest - not according to us, but to the man himself.

McLean’s current preoccupation is with Glasgow’s “pupil engagement strategy” known, inevitably, as PEST. He is also helping to develop something devoted to self - the “social and emotional learning framework”.
