NORFOLK County Council has paid out more than pound;100,000 to a former pupil who claimed its failure to provide him with a proper education scuppered his chances of finding work. Thomas Ward, of Wadebridge, Cornwall, now aged 27, received no school education after the age of 14 when he was excluded from Broadland high school in Norwich, Norfolk. The council agreed to settle Mr Ward’s case for pound;115,000 without admission of liability. It will also pay legal costs.
