NEARLY one in 10 secondary schools has caught pupils bringing guns into the classroom, a survey has found. SecEd, a new weekly newspaper for secondary teachers, received 160 replies from teachers to a questionnaire on weapons in schools. More than 40 per cent said that pupils carried knives in their schools, while others reported incidents involving axes, metal bars and even home-made bombs.
