Pupils debate in House of Commons

Compulsory sex education in primary schools and raising the school leaving age to 18 were among the issues debated by pupils in the House of Commons last week. More than 300 pupils aged 11-18 took part in the Youth Parliament session. It was only the second time that anyone other than MPs had been allowed to debate in the chamber.
