Pupils fattened up on crisps for breakfast

A QUARTER of British schoolchildren are munching on crisps and sweets for breakfast, a survey has revealed. Yet the poll for the Doctor-Patient Partnership also found that 43 per cent of boys and girls aged nine to 16 were not happy with their eight. More than a million under 16 in the UK are now certified obese - double the number 20 years ago. Experts fear the rising levels of obesity in youngsters will lead to increased rates of heart disease, diabetes and early deaths.
