PUPILS will get a chance to debate so-called “Frankenstein foods” at a conference on genetic modification to be held next Tuesday at the City of London School for Girls. Local state schools have been invited to hear academics and other speakers, including environmentalists, discuss the issues. The pound;7,800-a-year school, whose old girls include Dido and Claire Rayner, wants to use controversial issues to interest children in science. Telephone: Dinah Barry, head of science, 020 7628 0841.
