Pupils see neglect in peers, says charity

A study of more than 3,000 children aged eight to 12 shows that even young pupils have seen signs of possible neglect among their peers, according to charity Action for Children. The survey found 41 per cent of children knew someone who was often late or missing from school and 7 per cent said a child had told them they do not get meals at home.
