AT least a quarter of managers at the Government's exams regulator are to be replaced. As The TES reported last week, five of eight new general managers of the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority have been recruited from outside the organisation. Now at least seven of 36 principal managers, the next level down, have been told they were unsuccessful after re-applying for their posts.
