Scotland’s very own educational globetrotter is John MacBeath, director of the Quality in Education Centre. His travels occasionally take him to Glasgow where he was to be found last week as a member of the Government’s action group on school standards.
As the meeting was settling down to a discussion of improvements to pupils’ literacy, a weary MacBeath was heard to comment: “My heid’s wasted.” See thay communication skills.
