A SECOND senior figure from the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority is to leave for the private sector. Geoffrey Lucas, currently the QCA’s director of special projects, will become secretary of the leading public schools’ Headmasters’ and Headmistresses’ Conference next September, as his present boss, chief executive Nick Tate, becomes headmaster of Winchester College.
