Tarmac Quarry Products and the National Stone Centre encourage school groups to visit their quarries. Dene Quarry in the Derbyshire Dales often becomes congested, so a viewpoint panel has been mounted on a rock overlooking the main operations. It describes the geology, quarry workings, and long-term restoration plans and displays a simplified flow diagram of the processing plant.
