In the article “Inspection is over in a day” (TES, November 3), I read with disbelief that a headteacher welcomed Ofsted’s ultra-light-touch inspection, even though some staff felt that they had been judged too quickly. Some teachers were sceptical about what could be observed in 10 minutes, and many felt that the inspector had made some off-the-cuff judgments. As a teacher who has just had an Ofsted inspection, my sympathies are with the staff.
