Why are children so blind to the dangers of playing on railway lines? Most of us have our own childhood horror tales to tell and it seems to be the same for each generation. Track Off is a website that aims to break the cycle and educate pupils about the dangers of “railway crime”, a term that many children probably don’t even recognise (trespassing on or near a railway line is a criminal offence punishable by a fine of up to pound;1,000). It is full of facts and figures and has suggestions for follow-up activities in the school resources section.
