Your article: “Muslim schools excel in faith league” (The TES, December 1926) is not accurate because, strictly, the sample size of Muslim schools and Jewish schools is too small to be statistically significant.
Secondly, faith schools (Church of England and Roman Catholic) will always attain higher percentage values as they are used by middle class parents who value education. The significant comment was made by Keith Porteous Wood, director of the National Secular Society: “Non-religious schools take a higher proportion of children who have behavioural problems, which drags down their results.”
This is well documented in the sociology of education literature.
