Researchers from Inquisition, Scottish Television’s new religious affairs programme, were on the lookout for an RE teacher under 30 to take part in a debate about whether the subject should be banned in schools. A press officer phoning round schools ran into a panic-stricken head of RE.
“Inquisition?” he blurted out. “I haven’t applied for any jobs.”
