Real life cases

Millions of children watch programmes like Holby City and Casualty, but they will learn much more of the reality of the health service from New Generations. Aimed at KS23, it is a CD-Rom featuring those who support doctors by working as therapists, dieticians, radiographers, chiropodists, prosthetists and other professions. The cases are drawn from real life - a chef with Motor Neurone Disease, a guitarist who has a motorbike accident, a boy who falls off a roof. The Teachers’ Notes are remarkably thorough and informative. New Generations is being distributed to schools. The materials can also be found at the website.
