ANEW fundraising initiative is to be piloted at six schools in London. The ‘yourschool’ project operates through a reward card system. Parents and teachers request a free yourschool card from their school. When they make a purchase from a registered retailer, a percentage of the cost is automatically rebated to the school. In the first two weeks, 16 retailers in Britain have signed up to the project. The reward card formula is already in use in the USA, where it raises more than $100 million a year for schools.
