Students at South Nottingham College have launched their own record label, giving them practical experience of the music business.

Thirteen students studying a Btec national diploma in music technology are involved in the project.

SNC Recordings will become the first dedicated college label in the region. Its first release will be the group’s own album, featuring 16 self-written tracks, which due to be finished in May.

The project is being overseen by tutor Trevor Bamford, who runs the local label Nightbreed Recordings.
