Inter-religious Disco Dance

Walking down the street one day I met a Hindu man

He told me of a new dance craze of which he was a fan.

Later in the afternoon I saw a Muslim friend

Who told me of a new dance craze that was a real God send.

(chorus)

Do the dance, do the dance,

Do the inter-religious disco dance. Do the dance, do the dance,

Do the inter-religious disco dance.

Whilst I was sipping decaf I heard a Buddhist monk,

say “Find true peace in nature, and be one with the funk”.

On seeing my confusion, a friendly Navajo,

said “I’ll show you this brand new dance and this is How it go”.

(chorus)

Eden was a paradise with music in creation,

Adam was the first to groove and move in celebration.

But what of God’s commandments, that number one to 10?

Since Moses found the promised land it’s dancing time again.

(chorus)

Disco, art, religion strengthen one another,

Make this link within your heart and be a true peace lover.

Disco, art, religion strengthen one another,

Make this link within your heart and be a true peace lover.
