Remember what 's' stands for

May I respond to John Greenlees's article on the importance and relevance of Scottish literature (TESS, 18 January), which is now pinned on my wall, by asking why the EIS continues to oppose a mandatory question on Scottish literature in the Higher English exam? Does the union need reminding of what the "S" in EIS stands for?
